This session is intended to excite future education professionals who are either thinking of or are on their way to becoming a teacher. She shared a clear visual path of what becoming a teacher takes and what the different paths are, whether future learners want to look into a multiple subject credential or a single subject credential. Kayla talked about her personal struggles with being a student and how that helps her connect to her students. At an early age, Kayla fell in love with learning and soon knew her path would be to become a teacher. Although many students know what it is like to be at school as students, not all know what kind of work it takes behind the scenes to ensure that the curriculum is delivered in an effective and innovative fashion. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Fort Madison and Southern Pines United Methodist Church.
